National School Picture Day

Thursday, September the 8th, 2022 is National School Picture Day.


The national trade association for school photography and yearbooks, School Photographers of America (SPOA), is celebrating National School Picture Day by organizing their national advocacy day in Washington, DC. The executive director of SPOA, David Crandall, along with their advocacy chair on the SPOA Executive Board and President of American Photo Marketing, Mark Hommerding will be leading efforts to discuss key issues facing our industry. From the removal of rebutting and sales tax to student data privacy and copyright issues along with the new push for a digital identification solution for school safety, SPOA and its board members are working for healthy business practices to ensure student safety and school safety throughout the industry. In addition, Mike Harris, Governing Board Member and President of Victor O'Neill Studios will also be representing the school photography industry while visiting the Department of Education and the US Congress today.
